When i thought of blogging first everything looked greek and latin to me. Asked my hubby how to go about it. Hubby darlin explained in his software lingo which made things sound much more strange. Then i reminded him that he should speak in my lingo which he got it and now here iam blogging!!!! This thought first occured to me yesterday when i saw a song from the movie "Vinnaithandi Varuvaya" aka VTV. I know this sounds a bit weird . Everytime i see any song from the movie i marvel A.R.Rahman's music and also think of the buzz created saying how great the movie was. After so much of hype ,when i saw the movie i was extremely disappointed as i have never seen such a boring movie. Being in a place out of Tamilnadu has made me so desperate for tamil movies that myself and hubby made it a hobby to c every tamil movie that comes our way despite any kind of feedback. Both of us being moviebuffs and love seeing movies ,after a while started to understand the local language and now we frequent multiplexes for the local language movies which we enjoy. So tamil movies being so precious to us we generally dont get bored. But VTV was such a average movie , i was totally appalled by the way when people talked about it. The hangover of it is so terrible that it had made me blog about it after a year.
According to me Simbu was the worst choice for the role of the protagonist . His english was horrible ( though I wonder what was the need for english in a tamil movie!!) and his so called underplayed acting according to me has gone overboard. Trisha's role as a Jessy is a character which i try to understand even now. According to me the whole characterization was confused. What sort of a girl was she?? She has the nerve to cancel her wedding for Karthik on one hand and to get married to someother guy leaving the guy behind on the other. Iam surely not expecting the lead man and woman to live together happily forever as in a fairy tale, but i think the situation was not properly justified. Just to create space for romance the director has totally messed up . This is my thought on this movie , if somebody who come across this feel the other way , feel free to correct me .
